Description
Formaldehyde is a clear, colorless aqueous solution with a strong, pungent odor, widely used as an important industrial chemical intermediate. It is commonly supplied as Formalin (typically 37% or 40% aqueous solution) and is a key raw material for the manufacture of urea-formaldehyde, phenol-formaldehyde, and melamine resins. It is also used in disinfectants, preservatives, textile finishing, and laboratory applications.
